Welcome to the web home of Rangers of the West, a Rank 10 Kinship on the Gladden server.
Pull up a chair by the fire in the kinhouse, mind you be careful about swigging from the Inn League keg. (RotW is not responsible for the loss of your pants if you don't heed this warning.) Let's fire up some pipeweed while we tell you about ourselves.
RotW is open to all levels and classes from just out of the intro to endgame, and ages from 12ish on up. We enjoy an active but casual kin. Rangers work together to help players with game knowledge, advice and quests. If you want a little alone time and just shoot the breeze in kinchat, you'll find that lively and engaging too.
We sponsor weekly / weekend raids, quests and fellowships for all levels.
We also have social events on a regular basis; kin parties, musical bands, forming parades and Rohan charges through towns. Many events arise from kin member suggestions. So, don't be shy (but be ready to be drafted to help organize. ;) )
There are 3 very important Rules for Rangers. When you apply you'll be asked to confirm your agreement to abide by the following:
Rule 1: This game is supposed to be fun. There are lots of different ways to have fun in this game.
Rule 2: Treat your fellow players with respect. That's not a toon you're playing with, it's a person.
Rule 3: See Rules 1 and 2.
Well, time for some fresh pipeweed. If you'd like to join our merry band of Free Peoples, please fill out an application here on the site, and contact any officer in game.
We look forward to bidding you a hearty welcome to the Rangers of the West.
The following release notes are for the Bullroarer public test server only and may not reflect the final list of changes or updates included at release.
These notes are not final and should be viewed as a work in progress and subject to change.
The Eyes and Guard Tavern is now open!
Important Note: Please be aware that the build you are seeing here is a work in progress and is by no means the finished Update 17 product. There are items that are not yet complete. There may also be items missing from this initial list, this is not intentional and will be added as we progress.
The Epic book quests are not available during this open beta.
In the Epic Battle: Hammer of the Underworld, Merit is not being calculated properly. Additionally, you will need to leave instance or logout your character at the end of the battle.
For both Epic Battles, difficulty balance has not been completed.
Anfalas Scrolls of Empowerment and Star-lit Crystals have been added to the Merit Commitee barter NPCs for 75 and 150 Stars of Merit, respectively.
The victory boxes for the Defence of Minas Tirith and Hammer of the Underworld Epic Battles have roughly 50% more Supreme Essences, on average, than the victory boxes for other Epic Battles.
Monsters from level 99 and up may now drop tier 10 crafting materials. This affects the loot drops of landscape monsters in the older regions of Belfalas, Central Gondor, and Eastern Gondor.
When using a fishing pole, you now can only have another fishing pole cosmetically equipped.
You should more consistently be able to hear in-game music (music will no longer go silent when crossing into a new zone).
The store no longer spawns an awesomium_process.exe unless it's open and shuts it down when it closes. There are a couple of other browsers that still do, but the store was the worst offender in terms of memory.
